Tuition Benefits

Regents Scholarship Program for Employees

The Regents Scholarship Program provides employees with free or significantly reduced tuition when they take classes at the University of Minnesota. Many use this benefit for professional development or to continue their education.

The Regents Scholarship can be used for undergraduate and graduate classes that are taken for credit by benefits-eligible faculty and staff, including those in P&A, Civil Service, and Labor Represented employee groups.

The portion of tuition that is covered by the scholarship depends on your current education level. If you’re pursuing your first undergraduate degree, 100% of tuition cost is covered through the program. All other eligible classes are covered at 75% of tuition costs.

The Regents Scholarship Program policy page has more information on eligibility, covered costs, and how to apply. The Request for Regents Scholarship form must be filled out each term.
