Karen Schaffhausen Named OHR's Director of Strategic Planning, Policy, and Administration
Karen Schaffhausen is OHR's new strategic planning, policy, and administration. The role will be critical to the success of our human resources community and OHR in meeting the MPact 2025 goals, as well as providing an important role as we move into the PEAK project. Karen will lead the creation of an overarching human resource strategy for OHR, in partnership with OHR senior leadership and University campus and department human resource leaders.

Karen brings an impressive résumé of business strategy, consulting, marketing, and communications to OHR. Most recently, she was a business consultant at the Small Business Development Center at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, where she coached company CEOs in strategic planning and financial development. She is also well acquainted with the U of M-as an adjunct faculty member here for the last several years, teaching a business course in quality management, and as a University graduate with a degree in political science.
