Flexible Spending Accounts

You can select one or both of the FSAs that are available:

  • Dependent Daycare account - contribute up to $5,000 per household
  • Health Care account - contribute up to $2,650 per employee (maximum subject to change in 2019)

FSAs must be renewed every year.

Child Life Insurance

If you haven't already done so, you can enroll in Child Life Insurance online without evidence of good health. Child life insurance covers each of your eligible dependent children from live birth to age 26. You pay $0.42 per biweekly pay period for $10,000 of coverage.

Voluntary Short-term Disability

You can select an increase in your existing amount of coverage by $100 or $200 without underwriting to replace up to 66-2/3% of your salary but no more than $5,000 per month.

Voluntary Long-term Disability

If you are a civil service or non-faculty labor represented employee, you can select Long-term Disability to the lesser of $5,000 or 60% of your monthly earnings. The amount of long-term disability that you select is subject to the pre-existing conditions limitation.
